Episode 62-Sam Herr and Julie Kibuishi
Manage episode 407664166 series 3558783
On May 22nd 2010, A young woman was found dead in the apartment of Sam Herr a 26-year-old Army Veteran. Sam's father stumbled upon the scene, and it was he who placed the 911 call in disbelief. The young woman was 23-year-old Juile Kibuishi. The question Steve is plagued with is where his son is. The next one is why would his son leave a dead body in the apartment. His father recounts in an interview that when he walked into his son's bedroom, he saw the dead body, a lot of blood. Costa Mesa was located between Los Angeles and San Diego. The reason Sam’s father even stopped by was to conduct a wellness check. Sam was supposed to show up at his parents' house that weekend but failed to show up. Sam even stopped calling, which was unusual for Sam. The community, which is an affluent community, murder was very uncommon. When officers came into the apartment there were no visible signs that anything was amiss let alone a crime scene. The apartment was spotless, a bachelor's apartment, nonetheless. The bedroom was another story. Investigators said on the bedside table there was an unused knife. They found two books a combat book and a wonders of sex book. The bed was soaking wet with blood. She was found half on the bed and half kneeling down.
You be the Judge who murdered Julie Kibuishi? was it a trusted friend of Julie or was it a trusted friend of Sam?
