In her 60s, Functional Nutritionist and Eating Psychology Coach, Mindy Gorman Plutzer, wouldn’t want to turn back the clock. She embraces this phase of her life with gusto! Her “Freedom Promise” is to help women stop fearing what food will do to you and start embracing what it will do for you. In this conversation, we discuss diet culture, societal and family pressures and the link between our behaviours and the roots of disordered eating. We talk about the stories we tell ourselves and the power of self forgiveness. Midlife is often a time when women find the courage to confront lifelong issues with food - it’s never too late to seek help! Midlife is a time to let go - in Mindy’s words, “to create the life you want, to become fearless and to feast on the blessings in front of us.” Find out more about Mindy's work here: www.thefreedompromise.com The Midlife Movement is a friendly community which aims to challenge outdated stereotypes around midlife and ageing through the sharing of stories and 121 personal coaching.
