“Nothing is Impossible with God”
Pastor Hiroyuki Anjiki
* 1 Peter 3:1-6 “Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves. They submitted themselves to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her lord. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.” (NIV)
* Hebrews 11:11 “And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.” (NIV)
1. Sarah’s disbelief
* Genesis 15:4-6 “Then the word of the Lord came to him: ‘This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.’ He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’ Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.” (NIV)
* Genesis 18:10-12 (See above)
2. Sarah’s belief
* Genesis 18:14 (See above)
* Genesis 18:15 (See above)
* “Magnify the Lord” “magnify” = expand, enlarge
Thoughts to share at mini church:
1. Have you ever experienced transitioning from disbelief to belief?
2. What do you think is the secret to growing your faith?
