Ahoy there, surfers and beachgoers! This is your funky surf forecast bringing you the latest wave updates for the New York area. Get ready to hang ten and ride those gnarly waves!
Today along the beaches of Kings (Brooklyn), expect a high rip current risk until 6 PM. The surf height is around 3 feet with a chance of rain and cloudy skies. The surf temperature is in the upper 60s with winds coming from the east around 15 miles per hour. So, make sure to stay safe out there and maybe catch a few waves before the rain comes in!
Over at Southern Queens, a similar scene awaits you with a high rip current risk, 3-foot waves, and the surf temperature in the upper 60s. The winds are a bit stronger here, coming from the east at 15 to 20 miles per hour. So, be cautious and enjoy the surf with care!
Down in Southern Nassau, including Atlantic Beach and Long Beach, the story repeats itself - high rip current risk, 3-foot waves, and cloudy skies. The temperature is still in the upper 60s, with stronger winds at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Keep an eye out for those tides and enjoy the beach vibes!
Moving on to Southwestern Suffolk, get ready for that high rip current risk and 3-foot waves. The surf temperature is in the upper 60s with cloudy weather and a chance of rain. The high temperatures are in the mid-60s and the winds are stronger at around 20 miles per hour. Hang tight and watch out for those currents!
Last but not least, Southeastern Suffolk offers a high rip current risk and 4-foot waves, perfect for surfing enthusiasts. The surf temperature is in the mid-60s with mostly cloudy skies and a chance of rain. The winds are cruising from the east at 15 miles per hour. So, grab your board and hit the waves, but remember to stay safe out there!
Remember, always keep an eye on the tide, have a flotation device with you, and swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, chill out, float, and don't swim against it. And if need be, face the shore and call for help. Stay safe and make the most of the surf!
