In this episode of Moonwise, we speak with Erin Chalfant about navigating the borderlands of our lives by working with the elements. She shares her insights about the Celtic wheel of the year, how to fail gracefully and connect more deeply with inner knowing.

Erin Chalfant, MA, MFA is an Author, Educator, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. She is rooted in Indigenous Earth-Based Wisdom Practices, Hatha Yoga, Hakomi (Mindfulness-based Somatic Psychotherapy), Buddhist Meditation.

She has worked with women in re-storying their relationships with their bodies through an understanding of nature, been trained in Zen Hospice Care, and also works with at-risk youth and teens in mind-body techniques for recovering after trauma.

She is currently accepting clients of all ages and backgrounds who are navigating big life transitions and wanting to find purpose and fullness in their pursuits. She is adept in integration work for plant medicine experiences and also creates powerful ceremonial and sacred spaces for deep work. She completed her first book, The Other Side of the River: Stories of Women, Water and the World, under the pen name of Eila Kundrie Carrico in 2015 (Womancraft Publishing), and continues to work on forthcoming projects focused on Wilderness and Rites of Passage and engaged activism for the mutual thriving of people and the planet.
