Manage episode 416782919 series 2987391
"May we have a level of wisdom and literacy and will and purpose that allows us to rise to the occasion of using our technologies to keep ourselves and our children healthy."
In this episode, Jerome and Julienne talk to Craig DeLarge. Craig is a digital healthcare strategist, mental health advocate, and educator at the Digital Mental Health Project, where he produces education and research, helping to improve the responsible adoption of digital technology and behavioral health services and therapies. As a digital and healthcare marketer, strategist, and educator, he's worked in world-class firms like Novo Nordisk and taught marketing, communications, leadership, and business ethics at several colleges. After explaining what led him to create the Digital Mental Health Project, Craig describes the key roles digital technology can play in improving (mental) health and providing access to resources for those who would otherwise not have any. They also discuss the ethics of using technology for employee wellbeing, the importance of skillful citizenship, and depression as a response to an unhealthy system.
If you are interested in learning more about the application of technology for (access to) improvement of mental health, the ethics of the use of these technologies, and ways to look at technology as well as mental health through the broader lens of society and community, this episode is for you!
