Our levels of motivation are constantly changing. Being motivated feels great! But how do we deal with a lack of motivation?
In today's podcast, Janelle Lynnae will walk us through her seven steps to get your motivation back! We'll be answering questions such as:
- What can a lack of motivation look like?
- What might spark a lack of motivation?
- How can I get motivated again?
7 Steps to Get Your Motivation Back!
1. Make a list of everything that’s pissing you off and everything you’re upset about.
2. Delete all social media apps for a few days.
"Comparison is the thief of all joy"
3. Find some stuff to be happy about! AKA Gratitude
4. Find encouraging Bible verses, inspiring quotes, or watch inspiring videos or listen to an inspiring audio books.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
5. Ask the WHY Question!
6. Take a break and go have good ol fashioned fun outside.
"It's okay to go slower."
7. Be patient and kind with yourself.
You’re not a machine. You’re not a robot. You’re a human. Remind yourself that it’s normal to have times that feel BLEH. Anticipate things to get better, but you don’t need to fake positivity right now. And never feel ashamed to seek professional help!
