For our first episode of 2020, we’re looking at a very special field in the world of music: music therapy. This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with Erica Tetzel and Taryn Stephenson from Music Heals, a non-profit based in Vancouver that raises awareness and supports music therapy programs across Canada with the goal of increasing access to music therapy services. I also spoke with Ruth Eckhoff, a music therapist in Norway with decades of experience as a practitioner and educator in the field. We discussed what music therapy is, why it's so important, how it has evolved, and how to get involved. I hope you enjoy our conversations as much as I did!
