The Gospel of Mark: A Life Producing Good Fruit - Steve Barr
Manage episode 451856348 series 1193850
Do you ever feel like your faith isn’t growing as it should, while others seem to flourish? This week, Steve Barr continued our series in the Gospel of Mark, exploring the parable of the seeds and the different types of soil. Jesus calls us to listen and understand, warning that the condition of our hearts determines how we receive God’s Word. Some hearts become hardened, refusing to listen, while others are impulsive, constantly distracted by life’s busyness. Many of us have divided hearts, allowing distractions to push God aside. But Jesus reminds us we can’t squeeze Him into an overcrowded life. The fruitful heart, however, is open, rooted, and produces the fruit of the Spirit and good works. What kind of heart do you have? What kind of fruit is being produced in your life?
