Joe Towne is an actor, writer, director and the founder of The Performers Mindset. “To revolutionize the way we Think about performance… and then Train accordingly.” He's worked in television, feature films and theatre around the country, and currently he's coaching, speaking and hosting his own podcast. He graduated with a BA in Theater from The University of Southern California and interned at 20th Century Fox. Before that, however, Joe was inspired by theatre and the performing arts, finding his gifts and inspiration on stage and behind it. He always enjoyed collaboration and bringing people together to express himself and tell a story. His mother, who he lost early in his twenties, was an artist and his father a rock and roll DJ. Joe pursued a career and embarked on his highly acclaimed 30-year journey in the US and abroad, cultivating a "cross-training perspective from the different lenses of production." Joe’s journey led him to become an acting coach at a Hollywood studio and to study with a feng shui master…both of which taught him the power of being intentional with different modalities of study and practice. In this conversation, Passion to Power host and producer, Michelle Zeitlin and Joe Towne talk about daily habits that create excellence, accountability and performance. Joe shares his love of athletics and sports in addition to film, television and content creation, and how the tools he utilizes are science based and proven to work. Enjoy!
