We had a chance to catch up with veteran pool builder JC Escudero at the International Pool & Spa Expo. His firm J Designs Pool & Spa has earned its reputation as a leading boutique Los Angeles-based luxury pool company. While many pool builders are gun-shy about bringing up anything negative about building a pool, Escudero says educating his customers about the darker side of the pool industry and potential pitfalls of building a pool is essential. In fact, he's dedicated an entire section of his website to educating the consumer about what to be on the lookout for when starting a custom pool project.
