In this world that seems to focus on negativity, violence and putting ourselves first, how can we be better people? How can we get into the season of Thanksgiving, gratitude, and giving?

Maybe through a 2 true stories of ordinary people, Marty and Johnny, who made a lasting impact on others through small acts and by showing up as themselves.

In this episode, Peggy shares the story of Marty, told by V.J. Smith, in his book, The Richest Man in Town and of Johnny the Bagger. Both stories are stories of customer service, but really shows us all how to be better people.

Lessons from Marty:

  • Relationships matter most in life.
  • Try to do a little more.
  • Only you can make you happy.

Lessons I take away from both:

  • You can create a ripple effect on others.
  • You can start with a small act of kindness.
  • Listen to your heart and to others.
  • Do what is authentic and genuine to you.
  • Be Sincere.
  • Let your intentions and actions come from your heart.
  • Repeat every day.
