Summary This is the FedGeoDay 2024 session on open source for local government, emergency management and response, and climate risk. Highlights 🌍 The session focused on open source applications and data services for local government, emergency management, and climate risk. 🏢 Aaron Myers discussed the use of open source technologies in the development of the Eagle Eye platform, a situational awareness platform for the energy sector. 🗺 Laura Schuch shared how Cleveland Metroparks uses open source GIS software to provide geospatial data access to staff and the public. 🚨 Mike Rogers talked about CRG Plans, a critical incident mapping data solution that enhances command and control efforts during emergencies. 🌀 Karen Townsend discussed Sea Island software’s work in hurricane decision support and the development of the HURREVAC system.
