Rare Cuts takes on their Epic Superhero summer with one of the biggest heroes of all…Batman! To kick it off, Rob picked the Batman and Robin Columbia Pictures theatrical Serial from 1949. The film serial follows Batman and Robin on a case to figure out who is the evil Wizard who has stolen a machine that can remote control any vehicle in the world, and enough diamonds to power the machine. The panel takes a look at what makes this version of Batman work, and where it fails. They also take a dive into the historical context of where this fits into Hollywood.
