Exhaustion is overwhelming and it's not like normal tiredness. It’s like trying to move through thick mud and think through thick fog. All you want is to lie down and sleep, and then sleep some more, after that. You can't function because everything leaves you wiped out. Trying to juggle different aspects of life and having less time to prioritize their own health is quite common among women with symptoms of exhaustion.
In this episode I talk to Jessica Pozo, a Registered Nurse and Registered Health Coach certified in Functional Medicine. Since she can remember, she has always had a passion for helping others in any way she can. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree with Honors from Ryerson University in 2014. Naturally drawn to the prevention side of healthcare, Jessica worked for many years in oral surgery, sedation dentistry, and finally IV nutrient therapy.
After years of testing the limits of her body, she started to struggle with burnout. Through a combination of naturopathic medicine and lifestyle modifications, she was able to revive her energy tremendously and set out to help others do the same.
