Preston grew up in Saxonburg, PA. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. In 2018, Preston graduated from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School in Baltimore, Maryland with a Master of Business Administration, Banking and Finance.
