Remember The First Time? Meets...Damian Harris. Damian is the Creative Director of Skint Records and a recording artist who goes by the alter-ego of 'Midfield General'. Founded in 1995, Skint was the home of Fat Boy Slim, X-Press 2, FC Kahuna and Lo Fidelity Allstars. It is most famously known for being a leader of the Big Beat scene during the '90s. Paul sat down for a conversation with Damian about the 25th anniversary of Skint Records, the Big Beat scene during that period and Big Beat Boutique, the infamous club night held at the Brighton Concorde. The conversation also covers the highs and lows of running a label, what drew him back to the label after a period of absence away, plus the legacy of Big Beat and it's impact on electronic music. You can find out more about Skint Records here www.skintentertainment.com ***Please take the time to rate and review us on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to this show.
