How important is the repentant sinner to God? God is reaching out to the lost, just as the woman in Luke 15 searched for the lost coin, the shepherd looking for the one lost lamb, and the feather welcoming home the prodigal son. The prodigal son's brother was too busy with his own work to even help his young brother. The older brother only cared about himself. Christ is warning us to be less like the older brother and be more like the shepherd searching and looking for the lost sheep.
