In this episode I sit down with Joy Anderson who is a dietitian and lactation consultant who pioneered the treatment of food sensitivities in breastfeeding babies.
As a lactation consultant for many years Joy became aware that some babies were experiencing food sensitivity symptoms to mums breast milk. Seeing that there was a lack of awareness and support for this issue, not just from doctors but even from dietitians, Joy decided to go to University to study dietetics so that she could bring light to this area. After graduating she also authored the book "Food-Sensitive Babies: Dietary Investigation for Breastfed Babies" to provide other professionals with the knowledge and tools to help young babies.
Joy is now retired as a Dietitian however she continues to mentor other Dietitians working with food sensitive babies. You can find out more about Joy and her book at her website - https://dieteticsandlactation.com.au/.
