Calming the Chaos welcomes Lauren Dreher: Author, Mindset Speaker and Coach from Kansas. Lauren has a degree in Family Studies and Human Services, and Gerontology. Lauren talks about being born with a birthmark, having it removed, and living with the scars. Throughout her life, Lauren has struggled with the internal chaos that comes from negative messaging. Using the power of mindset shifting, Lauren has developed a method to help herself and others re-program negative messaging, and calm internal chaos.

The goal: Lauren tells her story and provides tips, tools and techniques that will help listeners:

1. Recognize negative messaging and internal chaos

2. Become encouraged to “Not throw in the towel”

3. Meet any fears and overcome them through the power of mindset shifting

4. Move toward positive change in life.

a. Types of negative messaging:

i. “I’m different” (and that’s bad)

ii. “I’m not good enough”

iii. “I don’t belong with others”

iv. “I can’t do this”

v. “I am unworthy, incapable, stupid, a failure”

b. The damage of negative messaging – Urges to “Throw in the towel” and give up

2. Tips, Tools and Skills to help you reprogram negative messaging and calm internal chaos:

a. Recognizing negative messaging

b. Setting intentions and channeling who you want to be

c. Daring to Dream (vs. listen to everyone else’s dreams for you)

d. Using Positive Psychology and journaling to change your perspectives

e. Shifting from being a victim / blaming others to Self-Accountability

f. Using fear as a motivator to move you toward excitement and passion
