The debate around video podcasting is a popular one and one we often return to on Voiceworks: Sound Business.

There are many reasons for and against creating video content to accompany your audio product and that pendulum could be swinging further in favour of the visual option with the latest developments from Spotify.

Now a major force in Podcasting, Spotify's "Tik-Tok-ificaiton" of its platform (adding short from, vertical video previews) could prove to be a great new podcast discoverability tool and is another tick in the box of video podcasting.

On this episode of Sound Business Jim Salveson speaks to Alex Junglius, Director at production company Distorted, to get his views on the in-app changes and how it might impact the future of the medium.

For further listening on the virtues (and not) of video podcasting you can listen to "Why you should (or should not) make a video podcast" with Evo Terra here: https://pod.fo/e/145db3
