100. From Fear to Freedom: Reflections from 100 Episodes
Manage episode 408060142 series 3557896
I am thrilled to share a momentous occasion with you all today: Electric Ideas reached its 100th episode milestone! I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you who have continuously supported and cheered for me on this journey. Your encouragement means so much to me.
As I celebrate, I find myself also reflecting. From the very beginning of Electric Ideas, I made a commitment to myself to tell the whole truth -- to share not only the highlights but also the challenges. This journey has reinforced my belief in the power of women’s stories to inspire learning, growth and self-understanding.
So today’s episode is a bit more of a vulnerable share. I explore some of the prevailing messages I absorbed at various points in my life that have held me back. These are the same messages many women internalize from their upbringing and society all the time. These messages tell us we want too much, lack sufficient talent or that we're taking up too much space. In turn, we as women shrink ourselves, dim our lights and silence our voices due to fears of judgment or not being taken seriously.
This is a call to action for you to move beyond the fear that holds you back from your potential and practice unapologetically stepping into your next level of self-expression.
Here’s what to look forward to in today’s episode:
- Whitney shares her vision and desire for the Electric Ideas community of women.
- She answers the common question: how did you decide to start a podcast?
- Everyone does NOT have their act together
- Whitney shares her experience in living with “wounds”
- The tools Whitney has and does use in her personal healing
Reflection question to ponder: Are you taking full responsibility for cultivating the life you want? If not, Where is fear holding you back?
