Building Lasting Relationships - The Power of the 2-2-2 Follow-Up System | Tiffany & Ashlee
Manage episode 407491890 series 3561167
Don’t ghost your clients! 91% of realtors never follow up with buyers or sellers. Join the 9% of agents who reap the benefits of building lasting relationships with clients. In this episode of Realestatable, Tiffany, and Ashlee talk about the 2-2-2 Follow-Up System (plus a bonus follow-up)!
Two Days
Two days after you sit down at the closing table, make your first follow-up call to tie up loose ends.
Be prepared for your clients to be stressed – they’re moving! Think about what you can do to (unobtrusively) relieve some of that stress.
Two Weeks
This is another check-in to see how everything is going. Ask how your clients are settling into the neighborhood and offer to recommend community gems.
Some agents also add a mailed gift after the first two weeks. Tiffany prefers to give gifts at the closing table.
Two Months
At two months, Ashlee gives another gift – for this one, she sends a personalized cutting board to her buyers.
For sellers, Shutterfly coffee table books can be lovely, memory-filled mementos.
One Year Follow-Up
Tiffany and Ashlee send cookies for the one-year follow-up and reach out with a message asking if the client received them.
Sparking emotion is important. Try to think of gifts that are personalized and meaningful – share your ideas with us on social media!
“As a real estate team, we talk about the ‘foreverness’ of our [client] relationships… You go through that transaction and there’s a ton of activity that happens, but we don’t want that velocity of how we are communicating consistently to stop at closing.” – Tiffany Klusacek
“The two-day and two-week are super simple, you’re just checking in. So if you are doing nothing, if you are in that 91% [of agents that don’t follow up], you’re going to make it to the 9% if you just make two phone calls, send two texts, or send two e-mails just checking in on your people.” – Ashlee Jankovich
