ESV (English Standard Version)
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him.
NLT (New Living Translation)
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.
NIV (New International Version)
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence.

Reflect
- Meditate on 1 John 3:18-19. Consider how you can demonstrate the truth of love through your actions. Journal your thoughts and identify moments when you can act on this reflection.
Engage
- Look for opportunities to directly meet a need in your community or church. Seek out someone in your circle to share a word of encouragement with. Take tangible steps to act on your reflections by helping or supporting others.
Pray
- Pray for eyes to see and hearts to respond to the needs around you.
- Pray for those in your community who may be struggling and in need of support, that they may experience God's love through others.
- Pray for personal transformation in how you perceive and act on the needs of others, so that your actions may always reflect genuine care and love.
