Today Taylor and Dacoda sit down and speak with local Hip Hop Artist Champa.
Champa is an Indo-Canadian MC and spoken word poet based in Southern Ontario; originally from Kitchener.
Known for his sharp metaphors, vivid imagery, and discreet word play.
Champa has placed poetry slams across Canada and shared stages with performers like:
- Zaki Ibrahim
- Shad
- C.R. Avery
- Dwayne Morgan
- Fresh Kils
Champa is inspired by 90s Boom Bap and the underground hip hop movements of the early 2000s. His debut album "Always. If Ever. After" received critical recognition and charted nationally on Earshot's College Radio Charts 6 times.
Through national and international performances, Champa has proven that there is no crowd he cannot captivate with his energetic spoken word and hip hop performance.
He is currently working on his OAC-funded sophomore album "Hands in My Pockets". Being produced by Juno nominated Fresh Kils.
