The ‘Talent Instinct’ podcast episode 17 by Chantal Penny is an electrifying space where we dive into how construction business owners revamp their hunt for top-tier talent by ‘instinctivizing’ your efforts.
In this episode I discuss "How much is too much", and ask "Are the expectations of our workers these days falling into the employer's lap when it shouldn't". It's a controversial subject, I know, but something my clients are talking about more currently. When did employers turn into financial advisor, money lenders, counsellor and consistent back patters (and sometimes just for basic performance)? I'm asking in these difficult times, "when will self-responsibility and preparedness for the job sit with the employee, and when will gratitude enter the picture for what the boss has built"? When will enough be enough? Finally, I provide suggestions on how to build culture where the boundaries are not blurred.
Let’s face it, making the right hire for your business has never been more paramount. The stakes of the wrong hire can disrupt performance, profit, culture and succession planning. Talent Instinct isn’t about playing safe, it’s about conquering with calculated instinct.
