Welcome to the first episode of season five of the Adam Sandler Cinematic Universe podcast, where the theme is Reboots, Remakes, and Re-dos.
It’s a brand new frontier we are hoping to conquer this season and we;re learning on the fly. Strap yourselves in and come along for the ride as we not only debate whether or not these films have a place in our shared cinematic universe but also determine the best way to measure an Adam Sandler remake against its original counterpart.
To kick things off with our gross frostbitten foot we examine “Mr. Deeds” the remake of Frank Capra’s 1936 classic “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.”
