Goal setting is an important aspect of personal and professional development. It enables us to identify what we want to achieve and to develop a plan of action. But, while goal setting is beneficial, it can also present challenges. And if we intend to achieve our goals, it's important that we go into goal setting with our eyes open.
Why is goal setting important?
Goal setting provides direction. Without clear goals, we can feel lost or uncertain about what we want to achieve. We may have an idea of what we want, but without a specific plan or direction, it can be challenging to make progress. When we don't have goals, we can get sidetracked and discover that our efforts are no longer aligned with what we are trying to achieve.
