Join the Canadian Club of Calgary for our inaugural lecture of the 2020-2021 season with Dr. Ted Morton, who delivered remarks on the subject of "Alberta at the Cross-roads: the Status Quo Must Go." In this episode, Dr. Morton delivers remarks about the future of Canada, his newly published book Moment of Truth: How to Think About Alberta’s Future (Sutherland House Publications, 2020) on where Alberta fits in confederation, and what has to happen next.

With all events that we host, we open the speaker to questions from our membership. This speech includes the member Q&A (starting at 33:15) which was moderated by the club's Membership Chair, Vincent St. Pierre.

Dr. Morton has been a commentator, public policy analyst, and provincial politician throughout a several decade-long career. Long described as being part of the "Calgary School" at the University of Calgary, he has had a tremendous impact on the politics of the province and country.
