This week, The Wall Street Journal reported that a new problem facing employees is a growing number of "fake candidates." In this context, "fake" means workers who present impressive résumés and complete competent Zoom interviews, yet lack the rudimentary skills of the job. WSJ did not provide information on the racial classification of the deceptive candidates. However, it's a common Racist cliché that black and non-white employees have to be overqualified to be hired - and sometimes, being overqualified is used as justification for not hiring black people. Gus doubts that hoards of black applicants with phony credentials are being hired to goldbrick and scam their new White employers. We also hear from a number of non-white people where sexual activity amongst coworkers is being encouraged or sought out. Generally, "dating" on the job does not result in promotions, raises or an increase in correct activity and "good feeling" amongst colleagues. In fact, workplace gossip has been known to commence in accordance with these so-called "office romances." We also hear from a non-white worker who was on a business trip, and suffered the horror of having to share a hotel room with a White co-worker. The Racist Suspect got intoxicated and hopped in bed with his black male roommate during the middle of the night.
