Acts 1:11 “Men of Galilee,” they said. “Why are you standing here staring into Heaven. Jesus has been taken from you into Heaven. But some day he will return in the same way you saw him go!”

We gain more practical knowledge about God, ourselves and our existence in this universe by laying down on our backs, in an open field and staring at the stars, than we could possible learn by reading all the books in the world. We find out that our mind naturally begins to imagine, that perhaps, long ago, the sky was a lot closer to us, and with time, it keeps moving farther and farther away, leaving us stranded on earth. And the best we can do is find ways to explore space, in hopes to close the physical gap between us and the stars. When in reality the real gap is between ourselves and God.
