The Unpacking: Whole-Life Discipleship, Part 1
Manage episode 331513801 series 3333726
After a "long strange trip" Michael returns to host this podcast on the first three facets of whole-life discipleship: spiritual, emotional and relational.
Along the way, we learn one of Michael's favorite movies is "High Fidelity" and that he flunked out of college after attempting to major in binge drinking. He also shares his story of coming to faith at the age of 17 and how, shortly after arriving in Washington four years ago, his multiple childhood traumas led him seek medical help which saved his life.
Michael also discusses how Scripture makes it clear that humanity has a long history of emotional and relational brokenness, and the role this, and uneven power differentials play in Washington as we seek to participate in Christ's mission of making all things new.
