SPIRITUAL GIFTS ARE DISTRIBUTED AS THE SPIRIT DETERMINES
The spiritual gifts are given for the common good of the congregation
You cannot name a spiritual gift and claim it for yourself.
Not about our expectations or about granting our whims
THE SPIRIT BAPTIZES EVERY CHRISTIAN INTO THE BODY OF CHRIST
“They are all members of one body and have all been baptized by one Spirit into this body and been given one Spirit
to drink. There are not two bodies, one for those who have made a profession of faith and another for those who have
not. And there is only one baptism, for baptism into the body of Christ is not a Spirit-less.” pg 170
VARIETY AND HARMONY EXIST IN THE BODY OF CHRIST
“God has designed and arranged every organ in the body (v. 18). Each part needs every other part. The parts do not
compete with each other; rather, they complement and supplement each other. If the body was all nose, what would
digest its food and remove its waste products?” Pg. 174

Note the difference between the gifts of the Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit.
The gifts of the Spirit are from Almighty God.
Some of these gifts ceased before the end of the first century.
