The need to feel loved and accepted can be so strong that some people go to great lengths to feel a part of a group. Since Mary's need for human connection and affection as a child wasn't met by her mother, of course she searched for those basic human needs in any form presented to her.
In this episode, Mary will share some of the near fatal and emotionally damaging decisions she made on the beginning of her journey to numb her pain of desperately wanting to be loved and accepted.
After reading Girls Like Me, Mary provides a poignantly candid discussion of her personal journey to the root causes of her motivations for the disastrous decisions she made as a teenager, which will offer the listener some thought provoking points to reflect on.
