Harlem trailblazer Melody Capote talks COVID-19, The Protests, The Arts with host Danny Tisdale, on The Danny Tisdale Show.
Trailblazer Melody Capote was named executive director of the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) in July 2018. She joined the staff in 1984. During her long tenure at CCCADI she served as Director of Development and External Affairs, responsible for development, government relations, special events programming, and supervised and mentored countless interns who later went on to pursue careers in the nonprofit arts field and other community-based organizations. Melody is a graduate of The City College of New York, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a majored in Dance, and a minor in Black and Latino Studies. She is a New School Tennenbaum Leadership Institute Fellow and received her Not-for-Profit Executive Management Certification from Columbia University.
