In the past, your go-to options perhaps were getting a bank loan or speaking to your rich great, great uncle or grandfather. In today’s era, compared with say 10 years ago, with many ways to raise capital, your options are limitless. With this ease of access comes the need for more intentionality with how to use this capital that you have raised. Capital deployment decisions rank high on the list of outcomes that boards and managements must oversee. Making this choice is never easy. What are some of the key principles to be considered for effective capital deployment?
