American content creator, Darren Jason Watkins Jr. aka IShowSpeed, visited the Philippines recently and sadly, the highlight of his trip is an unpleasant exchange with a Filipino. Basically, some guy called him the N-word. Basketball player Ray Parks came to his defense and appealed to us to "Do Better".
Are we Pinoys inherently racist? Is racial discrimination part of the Filipino culture? We need to start singing songs of against racism. What is the meaning of the word "racist"? Is there even a Tagalog word for it? Who started racism in this country? Was it from Spain? America? Japan? Korea? When will the movie "Am I Racist?" be available here?
