First, they run through updates on Israel’s offensives in Lebanon and Gaza, Iran’s preparations for a retaliatory strike on Israel, tonight’s VP Debate, the devastation (and recovery efforts) in the wake of Hurricane Helene, longshoreman labor action, swing state polling, reproductive rights in Georgia and California, Biden’s expanding asylum restrictions, New York corruption, and Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday, before diving a little deeper into Israel’s expanding regional terror campaign, and watching Ta-Nehisi Coates absolutely eviscerate CBS host Tony Dokoupil’s attempt to shield Israeli apartheid from criticism via whattaboutism, a classic Zionist victim complex, and general bigotry. After briefly touching on the exacerbation of Israeli aggression under Netanyahu and Biden regimes with little-to-no grasp on reality, Sam and Emma look to some devastating stories in the wake of Hurricane Helene, including corporate malpractice in keeping an Impact Plastics plant open, and touch on the shifting electoral picture.
