29. Healing Hypothyroidism with Ceremony, Plant Medicine, & Prayer -Stéphanie Liévana
Manage episode 363404852 series 3324978
In this episode of The Mama Psychedelia Podcast, I interview Stéphanie Liévana, a mama of one, living in a small off grid ‘town’ in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Stéphanie is a dear sister and inspiration in my life, walking the path of a medicine woman. In our time together Stéphanie shares some of her life’s journey. She was born in Brazil and grew up in Mexico, in her twenties she found herself in Baja. Along the way she fell in love with her beloved partner and ultimately got pregnant, after being diagnosed with hypothyroidism as a child and being told by several doctors, she would never be able to conceive and have a child naturally. She credits this experience to her own healing journey, coming off of medication, finding plant medicines and devoting to a new way of being. She has always been deeply connected with children, and over the past several years found deeper connection with the spirits of Ayahuasca, Peyote, Tobacco & Santa Maria. Ceremony has become an important part of her life, as well as community, El Santuario is a beautiful land that she stewards with our dear sister Ayara Sollua and family, a beautiful Red Tent and Temezcal resides on this sacred land. Stéphanie’s heart is so beautiful and there is so much wisdom here that she shares with us along with the story of her magical birth experience. Her son Lazuli is her greatest teacher and inspiration.
*In moments the audio is a little broken up as Stéphanie's Internet was not the strongest* Grateful she could tune in as most of her time is spent offline
