This week, we sat down with Ben Silver (@notinconsistent) from Sports Illustrated's Inside The Phillies to talk about how this Philadelphia Phillies team has been faring from the pitcher's mound to the batter's box. Even though they have a mediocre record, is there hope for this team? It was a great discussion!
But first, we dove into this Sixers playoff series against the Heat. With Joel Embiid having missed the first two games, where are their playoff chances heading? (approx. 5:20)
From there, we got into some pretty astonishing comments made by Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher about the medical staff. (approx. 18:05)
Then we gave our thoughts on the Eagles draft overall, and also our concerns as certain talent hasn't been a priority during the offseason thus far. (approx. 29:35)
We then discussed how college football bowl game organizers are now permitted by the NCAA to ink naming rights deals with sportsbooks, beer, spirits, and adult entertainment brands. (approx. 39:35)
What we threw down on the Table this week was a great interview with Ben Silver from Inside The Phillies. We dove into what we have been seeing from this team and how much hope we should have. Aaron Nola isn't an ace, but that's ok. The bullpen has been much better than the last two seasons. Hitting isn't a problem, but they've been unlucky in spots. Alec Bohm is cleaning up!
