The Story of Rock and Roll Radio Show

Episode 26 of season 6 went out live at 19h00 on 29 June 2023 on Rebel Rock Radio. The show kicked off with Buffalo Springfield and ‘For What Its Worth’, a track that Rush’s Alex Lifeson says he most wishes he had written. It made sense to then go straight into a song he did write, Rush with Freewill. There is plenty to get excited about on this show, a good mix of old, new, heavy, and light. The new releases included another track from Jelly Roll off his Whitsitt Chapel album which I predict is going to go straight to the top of the charts, another track off Extreme’s latest album Six. and then 'Hearing Voices' off the Foo Fighters latest release But Here We Are.

The Immortals featured W.A.S.P. and their magnificent 'Chainsaw Charlie (Murders In the New Morgue)' off The Crimson Idol, one of the finest concept albums ever released by a metal band.

This week's Ultimate Challenge looked at 2018. The choices were Greta Van Fleet – Anthems of a Peaceful Army, Halestorm – Vicious, Black Label Society – Grimmest Hits, and Judas Priest – Firepower. We threw in Shinedowns Attention Attention for a bit of fun.
