In this episode I talk about some of the ugliest parts of our specialty: insecurity, bullying, anger & burnout.
I believe that people do not rise to the level of expectations, but rather they fall to the level of accountability.
Every member of the surgical team plays an important role in the OR. While we are all tasked with delivering the best possible patient care, little is being done to help leadership and staff understand how our roles impact one another, as well as the overall culture within our facility.
They trained us to be workers. I want to train you to be a warrior.
