Carlos Townsend Ministries is designed by God as a multifaceted vehicle of deliverance and change for the world. This change can only be wrought through the sincere milk of the Word of God. Carlos Townsend Ministries wishes to effect change in the lives of men and women through crusades, revivals, conferences and community involvement. Carlos Townsend Ministries works to minister change to the total man: spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically. In order to reach the masses, the ministry of Jesus Christ must be preached in the streets and not remain exclusive to the church. Our vision statement embodies the total scope of the assignment given to Elder Townsend from God: "Effecting change in the lives of the saints, in order to claim the lives of the lost." Carlos Townsend is a native of Greensboro NC. His education is exclusive to the Guilford County School System. Carlos is an ordained Elder of the Deliverance Temple Restoration Ministries, Inc where he serves on the National Board of Elders. The ministry of Carlos Townsend spans over 30 years, seventeen years were exclusive to music ministry as both musician and psalmist. The last sixteen years of ministry have encompassed both music and the preached Word ministry. In 2008 Elder Townsend left his post as Minister of Music for the Ebenezer Baptist Church Gospel Choir, to work full time with the evangelistic ministry birthed in him. This ministry gift was nurtured by the loving hand of his grandmother, Elder Shirley C. Townsend. Elder Townsend is in the process of authoring his first literary offering entitled, "From scabs, to scars: a guide to the healing power of God".
