Rhea Hughes is BACK and ready to discuss with Angelo and Jay the big news about the box office: movies are popular again, with Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 earning huge grosses. But the news isn't all rosy -- last week, out of the $150 million earned at the theater, only 8% went to movies that weren't a prequel or a sequel. We keep saying that people want original movies with good stories... but maybe we're wrong?
Then Rhea is moved to tears talking about The Bear -- but not for the reasons you think. It's honestly one of the most touching and poignant moments in the history of the show and it's a must listen.
All that, PLUS: the return of British and Teen corner, a review of Ezra by Jay, a discussion about the Paramount/SkyDance merger, a list of TV shows that became great when nobody was looking, and Jay feels bad about his Judge Reinhold joke (seriously).
YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS EPISODE!
MAKE SURE TO VISIT OUR SPONSOR: Steven Singer Jewelers!
The TV Show is a weekly podcast hosted by Jay Black, with regular guests Angelo Cataldi and Rhea Hughes. Each week, we dive into the new Golden Age of Television, with a discussion of the latest shows and news.
