The Phils gear up for the 2nd half, starting in Pittsburgh tonight against a Pirates team in the thick of the Wild Card race, with Aaron Nola on the mound. JT should return soon, the trade deadline could yield reinforcements, and they boast an 8.5 game NL East lead over the 2nd-place Atlanta Braves. With their August schedule being a bit of a gauntlet to start, these next few weeks are crucial to the Phils outlook heading into the final regular season stretch. The Eagles return next week and begin Training Camp with a new coaching administration taking the reigns on both offense and defense. Questions abound at every level of the defense, but there is no shortage of talent on the roster. The primary factor that will determine their 2024 success level is the play of Quarterback Jalen Hurts. Kellen Moore's system is QB-Friendly and Saquon Barkley provides the ultimate security blanket. The Sixers are retooled and appear to be improved, but the skepticism over their expectations is healthy and justified.
