Dr. Umar sat with Mouse Jones and discussed a vast array of topics, one being the effects of Hip-Hop on Black America and whether or not we have benefited from it as a whole. Mouse Jones' response seemed disjointed and inadequate to not fault of his own. He was asked on the spot and had not time to really prepare for such a loaded question or think too deeply. In my monologue today I want to speak for him. I discuss the negatives and positives of hip hop, in which I CERTAINLY believe Hip Hop has been much more beneficial to our people than it has been detrimental.
