The fourth episode of season 2 of This Audio is Visual features Keabetsoe Makgoane. In this episode of TAIV, @AndyMkosi sits down with Keabetsoe Makgoane to take a deeper look behind the intention of their photography. Kea who was born and bred in the South of Johannesburg speaks about how their heritage can always be found in their photography.

Kea started their photography journey in 2018, the following year they joined the Market Photo Workshop. Their current style is portrait photography, where they use their family and friends as their collaborators. With their mom as their biggest fan, who also offers honest critique, Kea speaks on how their relationship influences the work they put out. Through this, they offer us a lens to see their community through the softness of their appreciation.

“I'm trying to make them live forever.” This also influences the way she represents the topic of sexuality in her photography. To hear more about Kea’s journey as a photographer come through to This Audio Is Visual on all digital streaming platforms.
