Year-End Considerations
Manage episode 382309879 series 3526444
It’s the end of the year which means it’s a good time to look back and reflect on the past 12 months and see how you’ve grown and what you could have done better. Today on Thriving Women Artists, Ping, Sarah, and Dorien will be talking through their own year-end considerations and maybe from that, you will be able to use their experiences to make 2023 even better than 2022.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Things might work for you now or in the past, but that doesn’t mean that they will work forever. For example, Sarah used to post on Instagram every day but now that schedule doesn’t work for her, and that’s okay.
- Ping has a sketchbook just for fun which she calls ‘play time’. That creativity can carry over into her work and the ideas she comes up with can also make their way into her work sketchbook.
- Children are obviously the most important thing in your life when you are a parent. That can mean your time for work and creativity is smaller. But you can always find time no matter how busy you are by being organised and planning.
- A team is all about communication, if that communication is lacking then the project will probably fail.
- It’s never too late to get to know yourself even better and it’s never too late to learn about self-love. You can take time off work without having to feel guilty and say no sometimes.
BEST MOMENTS
‘Goals aren’t set in stone. If things change then you can change them’
‘If you make work from your hobby then you will work forever and have no hobby’
‘Work is not the most important thing in your life’
‘If you don’t try then you don’t know’
