9-year-old Christopher Laverack disappeared from his half-sisters house in Hull, England, on the evening of 9th May 1984.
An extensive search took place but his body was found wrapped in a carpet bag and floating in a canal two days later, leading to the biggest and longest murder investigation in the history of Humberside police.
In this episode of Time for Crime I look back at Christopher's disappearance, the investigation that followed, and how forensic science eventually led to the police naming the boys killer many years later.
