E071 - New Springfield Boogie Stop Shuffle - Alex Mazer is a creative polymath who works across an array of visual and audio mediums, including digital mashups and memes, video production, fashion, poetry, and songwriting. While he's probably best known by his online moniker New Springfield Boogie (or, alternatively, "that Simpsons guy from Shakedown"), Alex is also a frequent collaborator of the Disco Biscuits. In this episode Max and Alex discuss his contributions to such Biscuits songs as Falling, Another Plan of Attack, and In the End We Have Forever. Along the way, they delve into the evolution of jamband lot art from bootleg merch to high fashion, the origins of the Biscuits' custom CornerTwelve jumpsuits, and how Alex got tapped to officiate Barber's wedding.
